Vande Bharat Express Train

Vande Bharat Express is a semi-high-speed train that was launched in 2019 to improve the travel experience of Indian railways. It is an indigenously designed train that aims to bring in a new era of innovation for the Indian railways.

Seats

The Vande Bharat Express train is India’s first engineless, semi-high-speed train with 16 fully air-conditioned chair car coaches. It features automatic doors and Wi-Fi service.

Despite its high-tech interiors, it still has some basic features like a small pantry car in each coach. It also has a special air conditioning duct to distribute the conditioned air evenly across the train’s entire length.

There are two types of seats on this train – Executive Chair car and Sleeper class. Both classes are similar to European 1st class with 2+2 berths across the car width in air-con open-plan carriages.

There are several emergency windows in the Sleeper class which allow passengers to escape quickly in case of an accident or fire. Each window has a glass pane and shutter, which can be raised or lowered.

Cabins

Vande Bharat Express train is equipped with several cabins that provide passengers with a comfortable journey. Each coach has automatic doors, GPS-based audio-visual passenger information system, hotspot Wi-Fi and bio-vacuum toilets.

Security

Vande Bharat Express train has been designed to ensure a safe travel experience. Among the most important safety measures are automatic doors, fire suppression system, and anti-collision devices.

Another safety feature is the use of ‘Kavach’ technology, which is the train’s own safety system, which prevents trains from going beyond the red danger signal.

In addition, these trains also feature on-board infotainment systems that provide passengers with entertainment and information. These features help make the journey more enjoyable for those traveling on them.

The new Vande Bharat Express trains are also equipped with reclining seats similar to those found in airplanes, and have an automated door that automatically closes when a passenger steps on it. This feature is a big step toward improving the security of the railways.
