Taking travel to a whole new level, Vande Bharat Express route is redefining passenger journeys across India.

Vande Bharat Express train combines luxury and comfort to ensure that passengers enjoy a pleasant and safe ride onboard. The train features braille-integrated seat numbers, personalized reading lights, mobile charging points with every seat, touch-friendly blinds for windows, aircraft-style adjustable LED lighting and wide luggage racks.

The train’s fully sealed gangways allow for better air-conditioning and a dust-free environment. There are also fully automatic doors connecting one coach to the other, and CCTV cameras at various points of the train for passenger safety.

Another feature of the train is its photocatalytic ultraviolet air purification system in its roof-mounted package unit for removing bacteria and allergens. Other features include a spacious pantry with a deep freezer, bottle-crushing machines for disposing of plastic bottles and revolving seats that can turn around 180 degrees.

Vande Bharat Express Route List:

1: New Delhi – Varanasi Vande Bharat Express

The train traveling from New Delhi to Varanasi stops at Kanpur and Allahabad.

Schedule and Timings: Departs from New Delhi at 6 AM and reaches Varanasi at 2 PM, leaves Varanasi at 3 PM, and reaches New Delhi at 11 PM. The train cuts travel time from 13 hours to 8 hours. It does not operate on Monday and Thursday.

Ticket Cost: Ranges from Rs1,000 to Rs3,000.

2: New Delhi – Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra (J&K) Vande Bharat Express

The train from New Delhi to Katra makes traveling to Vaishno Devi much faster, completing the distance which otherwise takes over 9.5 hours in 8 hours.

Schedule and Timings: It operates six days a week except for Tuesday. The train departs from New Delhi at 6 AM and reaches Katra at 2 PM. The train leaves Katra at 3 PM and reaches New Delhi at 11 PM.

Ticket Cost: Ranges from Rs-1,000 to Rs-3,000.

3: Gandhinagar – Mumbai Vande Bharat Express

This train traveling from Gandhinagar to Mumbai stops at Surat, Vadodara Junction, and Ahmedabad Junction. This train covers the distance between Gujarat and Maharashtra in under 6 hours—the fastest in India. The journey could otherwise take about nine hours.

Schedule and Timings: The train operates six days a week except  Sunday.

4: New Delhi – Amb Andaura in Himachal Pradesh Vande Bharat Expres

This train from New Delhi to Himachal Pradesh stops at Ambala, Chandigarh, and Anandpur Sahib before reaching its destination in Una.

Schedule and Timings: This train operates six days a week except Friday. It departs from New Delhi railway station at 5:50 AM and reaches Amb Anadaura at 11 AM. It departs from Amb Anadaura at 1 PM and reaches New Delhi at 6:25 PM, covering the distance in 5 hours and 25 minutes.

Ticket Cost: Ranges from Rs1,000 to Rs2,000.

5: Chennai – Mysuru Vande Bharat Express

This train from Chennai to Mysuru stops at Katpadi and Bengaluru.

Schedule and Timings: It operates all week except Wednesday. It departs from Chennai at 5:50 amAM and reaches Mysuru Junction at 12:20 PM, departs from Mysuru at 1:05 PM, and arrives in Chennai at 7:30 PM, covering the distance in 6.5 hours.

6: Nagpur – Bilaspur Vande Bharat Express

This train from Nagpur to Bilaspur makes stops at Raipur, Durg, and Gondia.

7: Howrah – New Jalpaiguri Vande Bharat Express

This train from Howrah to New Jalpaiguri launched in December 2022. It stops at Bolpur (Shantiniketan), Malda Town, and Barsoi.

Covering the distance between Howrah and New Jalpaiguri in 7-8 hours, the train leaves Howrah Junction at 5:55 AM and reaches New Jalpaiguri at 1:25 PM. The train will then depart from New Jalpaiguri at 3:05 PM and will reach Howrah at 10:35 PM.

8: Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam Vande Bharat Express

Route: This train reduces travel time between Secunderabad and Visakhapatnam by about 2 hours, this high-speed train makes stops at Warangal, Khammam, Vijayawada Junction, and Rajahmundry.
Schedule and Timings: The train operates six days a week except Sunday. It departs from Secunderabad at 3 PM and reaches Vizag at 11.30 PM. The return journey will begin from Vizag at 5:45 AM and end at Secunderabad at 2:15 PM, covering the distance in 8.5 hours.

Ticket Cost: Ranges from Rs.1,000 to Rs.3,000.

9: Mumbai-Solapur Vande Bharat Express

This train from Mumbai to Solapur makes stops at Dadar, Kalyan, Pune, and Kurduwadi before reaching its final destination.

Schedule and Timings: This train operates six days a week with services being suspended on Wednesday. It departs from Mumbai at 4:05 PM and reaches Solapur at 10:40 PM, and departs from Solapur at 6:05 AM and reaches Mumbai at 12:35 PM, covering the distance in 6 hours and 35 minutes.

10: Mumbai- Shirdi Vande Bharat Express

This train from Mumbai to Shirdi halts at Dadar, Thane, and Nashik Roads.

Schedule and Timings: The train operates on all days except Tuesday.
It leaves Mumbai at 6.20 AM and reaches its destination Shirdi at 11.40 AM. It departs from Shirdi at 5:25 PM and reaches Mumbai at 10:50 PM, covering the distance in 5 hours and 20 minutes.

11: Delhi-Jaipur Vande Bharat Express Route is Set to Begin Next Week

The Vande Bharat train is expected to cut down the travel time between the two metropolitan cities of Delhi and Jaipur by at least half. Currently, the train takes six hours to reach Jaipur from Delhi, but with this service launched, the journey will be cut down to only two hours.

Indian Railways has announced that it is planning to introduce three more Vande Bharat trains in south India on various routes. This would be in line with the BJP’s Mission South campaign to perform well in southern states in the parliamentary elections.

Ticket Cost: Around Rs. 800.
