Many creators are aware that it’s fun to have characters and other universes to work with. But what good is it if there’s nothing to do? Roleplay is a popular way for people to create characters. Roleplay is a great way to escape the monotony of life, but what happens if you don’t have any rp ideas? This is a horrible place to be. Here are some other role-playing plots.
1. Guardian Angel
Person A has experienced many near-death experiences throughout their lives. It’s like they should be dead, but something is protecting them. They meet Person B, their guardian angel.
2. Vampire Prince
Person A is a vampire prince. They are the rulers of the kingdom and sit on their thrones, but they do so with reluctance. Each year, a sacrifice is made from a nearby village to support The Vampire Royalty. They kidnap Person A and transport them to the castle.
You can travel in any direction from here! Person A can make Person B a vampire. Person A can show mercy and send them back home, or even keep Person B as their pet. This one is open to everyone, so have fun!
3. Mental Hospital Patient/ Doctor
Person A is a patient in a mental hospital. You can put them there for whatever reason you like. Nobody has made any progress with Person A. This is until Person A comes along.
If you enjoy getting into the characters and their relationships with other people, this one is for you.
4. Western Universe
Person A is riding on the outskirts their ranch when Person B appears. Person B has been shot, and they will soon die if they don’t get help.
This one was also left open. Is Person A willing to take on the risk to help Person B? What would it cost them to do this?
5. Werewolf Universe
This one is not my favorite. It’s an oldie, but a goodie. There are many ways to go, similar to the Vampire one. Is one of them a werewolf? Is one of them human? Is one human better than the other? Do there seem to be two werewolf pack fighting each other? This one is so versatile, you can’t go wrong.
6. Zombie Apocalypse
Person A is left without any defense after they have lost all their friends, supplies and allies. That is, until they meet Person B’s group. What happens to Person B? Are they open to accepting Person A or hostile and wary?
This is a good one for fandom-related RP’s. Reverse the roles of the main characters. You can make them the opposite of what they are, and you will be amazed at where it takes you.
8. Ghost and Haunted
Person A just moved in to their new home. You can choose to live in an apartment, a mansion, or a cozy townhouse. The first few nights are quiet. Things get wild when you meet Person B. Once upon a time, Person B lived in the house. They were somehow killed and were left behind as ghosts in their home.
9. Memory loss
Person A and Person C have been friends for many years. Person A is in an accident and suffers head trauma. This causes Person B to forget Person A, or everything they know. Person B is responsible for helping them to remember. If they can’t, it’s up to them to figure out their lives.
10. Body Swap
This seems pretty self-explanatory to me. Person A and Person B swap bodies for a period of time. As they pretend to be one another, chaos ensues.
(As seen in the movie “Purge”)
The Purge is a process in which Person A and Person B go through. They are forced to fight against those who want them dead.
This one is also quite open. Enjoy imagining your characters and what their status is.
12. Mind Reading for a Day
Person A suddenly awakens with the ability of reading minds. What happens if they can read the mind of Person B, their best friend?
This is a great place to combine one of these! Perhaps Person B knew some secrets that they didn’t want anyone to know about.
13. Treasure Hunter Universe
Person A is a decent treasure hunter. They spent years searching for the most incredible treasure in their lives only to have Person A, a treasure thief steal it at the last minute.
